10x10x10 Challenge

I have decided to participate in a challenge given by fellow therapist, Joe Sanok of Mental Wellness Counseling in Traverse City, MI.  The challenge is to complete the following 10 items before 10:00 a.m. for 10 days in a row.  I am excited to begin this challenge and am hoping it will kick start some good habits that will carry into the future.  In the hustle and bustle of our busy world, it is so easy to ignore self-care.  Self-care is an important time for pouring back into ourselves so we have more capacity to give back to the world around us.  I view these activities as things that help me take better care of myself.  Here is the list:
  1. Wake at the same time without snooze
  2. No caffeine after 10:00 am
  3. Dress professional, even if you are not going anywhere
  4. Exercise for 10 minutes
  5. Make your bed
  6. Write something, not email
  7. Take 10 deep breathes
  8. Smile intentionally 10x
  9. Eat a breakfast with <10 ingredients
  10. Make a “To Do” list, then prioritize
