My name is Janet Valencia-Lopez, and I am currently working toward my Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University. I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the National University of San Marcos in Peru. I am passionate about working with children and women; I want to help children have a good start in life and empower women to overcome life stressors.

As an immigrant, I understand that life presents you with unexpected challenges, but with the right tools, we can overcome them and foster our unique individual growth. Every day, we all can have a new beginning; I am committed to assisting individuals in growing and encouraging them to find the skills to move forward and be happy with their lives. My goal for clients is to be understood, respected, accepted and feel safe to express their struggles in a non-judgmental environment.
