I believe that being seen and heard, just as we are, is one of the most healing experiences we can have. My approach to counseling is to create a compassionate and safe space to help you explore the things you are facing in life and relationships. I consider it a privilege and great honor to witness people’s stories and be part of their journey.
In my work with couples/families my goal is an environment where each person feels the freedom to be honest, vulnerable, and are able to express their experience in the relationship. Together we navigate the issues driving disconnection, hurt, or struggle and we build healthy connection in it’s place.
In working with individuals I partner as a co-pilot, supporting and guiding you as we explore and find new ways of relating to the problem, to people, and to self. Through our work together I hope to help you reach your goals, gain strength, and have more compassion for yourself.
Education and Credentials: I graduated in 2010 from John Brown University with master’s degrees in Community Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy. While my education and training have equipped me to address a variety of areas, my focus includes couples/marriage counseling, relational and emotional issues, and sexual abuse. I have received continued training in Emotion Focused Therapy and am a certified Prepare-Enrich Provider for pre-marital counseling.
Family/Hobbies: My husband and I have a daughter we adopted from India, and our family is growing as we are currently in the process of adopting two more children. We enjoy camping, bike rides, hikes, games, musicals and movies. I love international travel, a good book, and anything chocolate.”
