Practice Owner
I provide services for couples seeking to improve various aspects of their marriages, family counseling services for parents and children seeking to improve family relationship dynamics, and trauma therapy and individual counseling for those struggling with various life issues and transitions.
Education and Credentials: I hold a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling-Therapy from Indiana Wesleyan University and received my Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in General Studies with my major focus area in Religious Studies. I currently hold a Marriage and Family Therapist license (LMFT) with the state of Indiana. I have also received training in the Gottman Couples Therapy Method and EMDR for treating trauma, and am a certified Prepare-Enrich Provider for pre-marital counseling. I completed the AAMFT Approved Supervisor course in 2017 and I am an AAMFT Supervisor Candidate. I currently teach as an adjunct faculty member for Indiana Wesleyan University in their Graduate Counseling program.
Before returning to school to complete my Masters degree in Counseling, I was primarily a stay-at-home mom for 15 years. During that time I worked as a Children’s Ministry Director at my local church for a brief period, volunteered in leading Women’s Ministry, partnered in opening up an upscale resale shop, and helped my husband with the day to day operations of his technology consulting business.
The favorite part of what I do: Seeing lives transformed as I partner with God in helping fulfill the mission of Isaiah 61:1-3 of binding up the brokenhearted, proclaiming freedom for those who are oppressed, releasing people from their prisons of darkness, and comforting those who mourn.
Family/Hobbies: My husband and I have four children, two dogs, and three cats. In my spare time I enjoy gardening, reading, playing violin, needlework, scrapbooking, hosting family gatherings, and road trips with my husband.
