My Therapeutic style
I’ve been called both a down-to-earth person and a straightforward person that keeps individuals on track with their goals. I utilize techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and emotionally focused individual therapy ( EFIT ) to help individuals understand the self in a more comprehensive way. With CBT, I’ll guide you through identifying various forms of thinking that could be making your life difficult and teach you ways to break down your thoughts to gain a better outcome in multiple domains of life. With EFIT, we will really dig deeper into your emotions and understand their impact on your whole self and learn how to regulate them, so they are more manageable and not ruling your life. Then Mindfulness helps you in those intense moments that randomly pop up throughout your life. All of these will help you understand yourself and make improvements based on a deeper understanding of why you think the way you do and how it’s affecting you.
