Resident Therapist
I am passionate about working with children and families. I enjoy giving children a space to express themselves, helping parents support their children and helping work through family dynamics toward healthy outcomes. I believe strongly in displaying empathetic understanding, unconditional positive regard and genuineness to each of my clients. Additionally, I believe the language of children is play, therefore play is the medium I prefer to use when counseling children.
I have a Bachelors Degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in Children’s Ministry and a Masters Degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marriage and Family Therapy. I was a stay at home mother for several years and was thankful for the opportunity to spend the time with my children. I have focused my training on working with children, families and young adults. I have taken additional coursework in child and adolescent development, play therapy and filial therapy.
My husband and I have four children and a mini Australian shepherd. We like to be in nature and enjoy hiking. In our free time, we like to go to state parks and watch movies together. I also like to practice yoga, swim, bike and walk with our dog.
